A fundamental assumption about life is that suffering is inevitable. No matter which course you take, there will be a certain degree of suffering or distress. Nevertheless, there are methods one can utilize to minimize their suffering. This is especially true if one makes arguably better decisions that reduce suffering rather than enhance it.
Today’s discussion explores the question of whether individuals can avoid suffering at all. Additionally, if such a life were possible, what actions would be required to maintain this state and is it desirable to be free of any suffering? I principally assert that living your life in constant fear of any suffering or distress can hardly be classified as life. Furthermore, I attempt to make the case that it is far more conducive to your wellbeing to learn how to effectively manage suffering rather than avoid it entirely.
